HelpWear

HelpWear is a hardware-based company improving at-home healthcare by developing affordable and accessible products for patients - globally. Through Basecamp, HelpWear went from ideation to validation in less than two months. The program not only helped them validate their business, but also raise more than $150,000 in funds, build their prototype and pitch to leading investors. The founders are now full-time members at the University of Waterloo’s Velocity incubator program and Ryerson University's Biomedical Zone.

Classy Cyborgs

Classy Cyborgs is redesigning the braille learning system to help blind youth learn braille through storytelling. During their two-month journey with Basecamp, the Classy Cyborgs team was able to validate their business model, partner with leading organizations like CST learning, York University and the Ontario Centers of Excellence (OCE), and raise over $100,000 in funding. Classy Cyborgs is now incubated at Venture Labs.
